Persepolis will host Al-Nassr at the Azadi Stadium on Monday in the final round of the 2024-25 AFC Champions League

Persepolis will host Al Nassr on Monday evening as both teams look to end their group-stage campaign on a high note. This will be a key fixture for the Iranian team as they are sitting at the ninth spot with six points on board in the AFC Champions League Elite. If they win this fixture they will surely go into the next round of the tournament.
Persepolis have a history of performing well in this competition but they will be disappointed with inconsistent performances on the pitch this season. In seven games, they have won one, drawn three and lost three games. They suffered a heavy defeat against Al Hilal and will look to bounce back to get a good result at home.
Al Nassr have already booked their places for the knockout stage. They have won five games out of seven, lost one and drawn one. With 16 points on the table, they are sitting in the third spot and will be looking to get three points away from home.
Playing in Persepolis’s home will be a daunting task for the Saudi outfit as due to a hostile environment things get very difficult for the away side. But with the quality of players that the Knight of Najd have they will be confident of getting a win against the Iranian outfit.
Ali Alipour (Persepolis)
This is the second stint for Alipour for Persepolis in his career. The Iran international is known for his clinical finishing and as a team player who works really hard on the pitch. Even though statistically his profile may not look very attractive Alipour’s impact on the pitch is always visible.
He does his offensive and defensive duties very well. Ali is known for his courageous style of play and surely he will be a big headache for the away team’s defence. In 18 Iran Pro League games, he has scored seven goals and in seven AFC Champions League matches he has scored one goal.
Jhon Duran (Al Nassr)
His style of play is very similar to his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo. After his move from the Premier League to the Saudi Pro League he faced a lot of criticism but as of now, he has been performing well. Jhon has adapted to his new team very smoothly but now consistency will be a big challenge for him.
Looking at his quality he is someone who is a fighter and surely with the expectations he has, he will deliver on the pitch. Duran is a typical number nine who is a poacher on the field and does not miss many chances to score. With pace, physicality and clinical finishing he will try to be the difference maker on the pitch. In two Sauri Pro League games, he has scored four goals till now.
