Five defeats and a draw in their last six matches have seen Las Palmas slide down the table

Barcelona fly out to the Canary Islands for their upcoming La Liga clash on Saturday night as they take on Las Palmas.

The struggling hosts stunned the Catalan giants in the reverse fixture, claiming a 2-1 victory at the Montjuic back in November. They’re now chasing their first home league win over the current La Liga leaders since 1986.

However, El Pio-Pio enter Saturday’s bout amid a dreadful run of form. They’re winless in 2025, are 17th in the La Liga table and are only ahead of Valencia on goal difference.

Barcelona’s defeat in the reverse fixture came during a downturn in form for Hansi Flick’s side, but they haven’t skipped a beat in the new year and are unbeaten in 12 games across all competitions.

Former Barcelona man Sandro Ramirez, who scored in the reverse fixture, should line up against his former club this weekend having served a suspension against Mallorca last week. Dario Essugo is also eligible to return.

Scott McKenna is suspended this weekend due to yellow card accumulation.

Marvin Park, Marc Cardona and Adnan Januzaj are all injury doubts, as is the the match-winner from the reverse fixture, Fabio Silva.

A cancer relapse means midfielder Kirian Rodriguez won’t play again this season.

Las Palmas predicted lineup vs Barcelona (4-2-3-1): Cillessen; Rozada, Suarez, Pelmard, Marmol; Loiodice, Bajcetic; Sandro, Munoz, Moleiro; McBurnie.

Fermin Lopez is eligible to return to Flick’s squad after serving a one-game suspension, but Gavi could retain his place in midfield with Dani Olmo also in contention.

Ronald Araujo will struggle to regain his place given Inigo Martinez’s form alongside teenage star Pau Cubarsi, while fellow centre-back Andreas Christensen remains out injured. Jules Kounde earned a rest against Rayo Vallecano and should return to the backline.

Barcelona predicted lineup vs Las Palmas (4-2-3-1): Szczesny; Kounde, Cubarsi, Martinez, Balde; Casado, Pedri; Yamal, Gavi, Raphinha; Lewandowski.
