After a consistent run in Serie A, Roma will be looking to rise into the European slots when they travel to Lecce. The two sides meet on Saturday with Roma placed seventh and Lecce 16th. Read on for our prediction.

Sitting just three points above the relegation zone, another season in the topflight isn’t guaranteed for Lecce just yet. A match against Roma has the writings of a defeat and this will not sit well with home fans.

Giallorossi will hope the international break gave some room to strategize better. In their most recent match, they fell 2-1 in Genoa, stretching their winless run to six matches. They are also winless in six home matches.

Roma have exited the Europa League and Coppa Italia, which leaves them with only a place in Europe to play for. They have shown they are good value for that and will be coming into this match on a healthy run.

Claudio Ranieri has done a tremendous job since taking over in his latest stint and it is a shame they will not accompany that with silverware.

Before heading for the international break, Roma claimed a key, 1-0 win over Cagliari, recovering from their Europa League elimination. They are unbeaten in 13 Serie A matches and won each of the last six.
