Any way we look at recent results, we can’t help but say Lazio dominate the rivalry

Lazio need to tighten up because their city rivals Roma are just two points behind them, and if Bologna win their game on Saturday, the gap to the top four could become insurmountable.

There was a period earlier in the season when Lazio were in contention for the title. That time is long gone and the Eagles are now in danger of falling out of the Top 6 if they don’t improve their game completely. They have won just one of their last five Serie A games, also losing 5-0 to Bologna in the previous round. Lazio’s defense is definitely not doing well, conceding at least one goal in nine of their last 10 games.

Torino, on the other hand, are in their best form in a long time, having conceded just one loss in their last 10 Serie A games, also when they played against Bologna.

Il Toro are far from being one of the league’s top-scoring teams, but they concede significantly fewer goals than Lazio and at least manage to win at least a point from most of their games. The fact is that they have no chance of reaching the Top 6 after their poor form at the start of the season, but this allows them to play without pressure.

Probable line-ups
Lazio: Provedel, Marusic, Romagnoli, Gila, Lazzari, Guendouzi, Rovella, Zaccagni, Pedro, Dia.

Torino: Milinkovic-Savic, Walukiewicz, Maripan, Coco, Biraghi, Casadei, Ricci, Lazaro, Vlasic, Elmas, Adams.
