Lecce held Juventus to a 1-1 draw in December the last time these two sides met

Juventus welcome Lecce to the Allianz Stadium on Saturday night as two sides on opposite ends of the Serie A table meet.

The hosts are in fifth spot and just one point away from the top four, which would earn UEFA Champions League (UCL) football for next season. They will feel that the 1-1 draw away to in-form Roma last time out was not a bad point as they keep up with the pace of the teams directly above them.

The Old Lady have stopped a run of back-to-back defeats with four points from their previous two games in total, as they were 1-0 victors against Genoa the last time they played on home soil.

Lecce’s 1-1 draw at home to 19th-placed Venezia last time out at least stopped the rot of five straight league defeats, but the visitors are now winless in eight matches in all competitions and worryingly lurk just one place and two points above the relegation zone in 17th.

Juve’s recent H2H record against Saturday’s opponents is also alarming, as they are unbeaten in nine meetings, winning five of the last six.

Lecce held Juventus to a 1-1 draw in December the last time these two sides met in Serie A. Andrea Cambiaso gave the visitors the lead midway through the second half, before Ante Rebic grabbed a dramatic 90th-minute equaliser.

Juventus have injury problems both in defence and attack, with Bremer, Juan Cabral, Federico Gatti, Mattia Perin and Arkadiusz Milik all set to miss out.

Lecce have fewer injury concerns, with Joan Gonzalez and Filip Marchwinski the only recognisable names set to be sidelined.

Juventus: Di Gregorio, Kelly, Veiga, Kalulu, Gonzalez, McKennie, Thuram, Luiz, Cambiaso, Yildiz, Vlahovic.

Lecce: Falcone, Guilbert, Baschirotto, Gaspar, Gallo, Coulibaly, Ramadani, Helgason, Pierotti, Krstovic, Morente.
