Roma vs Hellas Verona’s head to head record shows that in the previous 19 meetings, Roma has won 11 times

Roma take on Hellas Verona in what can only be described as a mid-table clash considering the current campaign. Both teams have been widely underwhelming, with Roma sat 7th in the table, and Verona, equally unable to make headway in Serie A, stuck in 14th.

The two sides will be desperately looking for a win, but for differing reasons. Roma currently stand two points adrift of a spot in next season’s Europa Conference League, a place occupied by Lazio at present.

Alternatively, a win for Verona could potentially take them 11 points away from the relegation zone, effectively confirming their stay in the Italian top flight for at least another season.

It promises to be an entertaining fixture with both teams really looking to solidify their goals for the end of the campaign.

At face value this may appear a straightforward head-to-head. From the teams’ last 19 meetings, Roma have won 11 times. However, when looking at the clubs’ more recent data, an entirely different picture is painted.

Across their last four encounters, Verona have won twice, defeating Roma 3-2 in November 2024 earlier this season, as well as 2-1 in August of the previous season. Although they lost both away fixtures, stranger things have certainly happened in football.
