Arsenal enter the contest off the back of completing their UCL masterpiece in Madrid

Arsenal will carry a swagger when they visit Ipswich Town in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Liam Delap was named on the bench last Sunday at Chelsea, and the striker is set to return to McKenna’s starting XI for Arsenal’s visit, replacing George Hirst.

Jaden Philogene sustained a knee injury at Stamford Bridge and is expected to endure a period on the sidelines, while Omari Hutchinson isn’t expected to be available to face his former club.

An Achilles injury could keep Kalvin Phillips sidelined. Wes Burns, Sammie Szmodics, Arijanet Muric and Chiedozie Ogbene are all out.

The visitors are bound to be much-changed from their win in Madrid, with the likes of Jurrien Timber, Declan Rice, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Mikel Merino earning rests.

Arteta has said that Kai Havertz will return “earlier than expected” from hamstring surgery but is still a few weeks away from making a potential comeback. Riccardo Calafiori is hopeful of being fit for the first leg against PSG.

Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel and Takehiro Tomiyasu are long-term absentees. Jorginho was added to the injury list last week.
