This will be the first time that Tottenham and Bodo/Glimt have ever played each other before

Tottenham will take on Bodo/Glimt in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final on Thursday, 1 May, with both teams looking to take an advantage with them to Norway for the second leg.
Although they’ve had a desperately poor domestic campaign, Spurs’ season is still salvageable thanks to the Europa League, and Ange Postecoglou knows that he needs to win it to have any chance of retaining his job in North London.
Bodo/Glimt have been this season’s underdog story in Europe, and now that they’ve reached this stage of the competition, they will feel they can go all the way.
This will be the first time that Tottenham and Bodo/Glimt have ever played each other before which adds an extra bit of intrigue to the fixture. Ange Postecoglou does have recent history with the Norwegian side, though, having lost 5-1 to them on aggregate in the Europa Conference League when he was the Celtic manager.
Tottenham’s forwards have had a shoddy year but there is still time for them to redeem themselves if they can produce the goods over the next week in the Europa League.
The club are sweating on the fitness of captain, Son Heung-min, but if there is any chance of the South Korean playing, then he will. It’s been Son’s worst season for the club since his debut campaign with just ten goals to his name in all competitions. Can he roll back the years on Thursday night? Spurs might need him to.
Other forward options for Tottenham this week include Dejan Kulusevski, Dominic Solanke, Brennan Johnson and Mathys Tel. Johnson aside, all of these players have had subpar seasons but Solanke did come up trumps in the club’s second leg win over Frankfurt in the previous round.
The former Bournemouth man also scored at Anfield on Sunday, so he does at least come into this match with some form.
As mentioned, Son Heung-min is a doubt for this one, while Radu Dragusin is officially ruled out. Antonin Kinsky and Timo Werner are both unavailable, too, as they aren’t registered. Bodo/Glimt have far more problems with three key players ruled out due to suspension.
Tottenham: Vicaro – Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie – Bentancur, Bergvall, Maddison – Kulusevski, Solanke, Son.
Bodo/Glimt: Haikin – Sjovold, Nielsen, Gundersen, Bjork – Auklend, Fet, Saltnes – Blomberg, Hauge, Hogh.
