Brentford will be bidding to make it three Premier League wins on the bounce when they go up against Manchester United at the Gtech Community Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Bees kept up their strong end to the campaign by claiming an impressive 2-0 win at Nottingham Forest on Thursday night, in a game that brought up my City Ground selection.

That victory moved Thomas Frank’s team to within touching distance of the top half of the table heading into the final stretch of the season.

Seeking to keep the feelgood factor flowing, Brentford will look to bank another three points when Manchester United come to town.

Ruben Amorim presided over his most impressive result as United boss to date when watching his side take control of their Europa League semi-final tie with a 3-0 win away at Athletic Bilbao on Thursday night.

The United chief will be hoping that triumph can act as a springboard for further success when the Red Devils roll into the capital this weekend.

Manchester United have fared well in this fixture following Brentford’s promotion to the Premier League back in 2021. In fact, the Red Devils have reigned supreme in five of the overall seven meetings since then, including this season’s reverse fixture at Old Trafford.

Despite the quick turnaround, Brentford boss Frank could opt to stick with the same set of players that put Nottingham Forest to the sword on Thursday night.

Meanwhile, Man United manager Amorim will almost certainly shuffle his pack given that this game is sandwiched between United’s Europa League semi-final tie with Athletic Bilbao.

Brentford: Flekken; Kayode, Collins, Van den Berg, Lewis-Potter; Norgaard, Yarmolyuk, Damsgaard; Mbeumo, Wissa, Schade.

Man United: Onana; Mazraoui, Maguire, Shaw; Dorgu, Ugarte, Fernandes, Amass; Mount, Garnacho; Hojlund.
