Al-Wehda will be lucky to get a draw and will need to be better defensively to avoid an embarrassing defeat

Al Wehda are set to host Al Nassr on matchday 22 of the Saudi Pro League 2024-25 edition. The hosts are at the bottom of the league table, having only won three matches out of 22 league games. Stefano Pioli’s men, on the other hand, are in fourth place after some decent performances this season, having won 13 matches in the same number of games.
Although Al Wehda will be at home, their confidence levels will be very low. They fell prey to Al Kholood in their last Saudi Pro League fixture. It was a close match and even though Al Wehda had a good amount of ball possession in their hand, their lacklustre attack led to their defeat. They conceded a goal in the first half and were unable to score in return.
Al Nassr will be confident enough as they have been on a decent run lately. But unfortunately failed to secure a positive result in their previous league fixture. With Al Ittihad taking a good amount of lead on top of the table. The title hopes for Al Nassr are fading away. Stefano Pioli’s men will be looking to come back to the winning ways.
Craig Goodwin (Al Wehda)
The Australian forward is the top goal scorer for Al Wehda in the Saudi Pro League this season. He will be looking to step up as his side will be up against Al Nassr next. Craig Goodwin has scored five goals and has also come up with six assists which makes him a threat for the opponent’s defence.
Cristiano Ronaldo (Al Nassr)
In 20 Saudi Pro League matches this season, Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 16 goals and is in a heated Golden Boot race alongside Karim Benzema who also has the same number of goals. Although CR7 failed to score a goal for Al Nassr in their last game he will be leading the attack from the front which adds up as a big advantage for the team. From finding spaces between the opponent’s defence to scoring goals from outside the box, the Portuguese talisman can do it all.
All players for the hosts Al Wehda are fit and ready to be in action against Al Nassr.
Jhon Duran will be out of action for Al Nassr as he received a red card in the last league game. Ali Lajami is injured and will not be available. Wesley Teixeira has joined the training and is likely to debut in the coming league outing against Al Wehda.
