England made a losing start to their Nations League campaign last Saturday, ending up on the wrong end of a five-goal thriller at home against reigning European and world champions Spain.
However, Thomas Tuchel’s visitors bounced back from that setback on Tuesday night as they won 0-2 in Prague against 10-man Czechia.
Pavel Sulc was sent off halfway through the first half for Czechia, before second-half strikes from Anthony Gordon and Harry Kane secured all three points for The Three Lions.
Slaven Bilic began his second reign as head coach of Croatia also by winning in Prague, as they won 1-2 in Czechia thanks in some part to their inspirational 41-year-old captain Luka Modric
However, the Balkan nation were outclassed by an inspired Lamine Yamal on Tuesday night, losing 4-1 in Seville to La Roja.
Both nations currently sit on three points in Nations League A Group 3 table, three points behind leaders Spain and three ahead of bottom side Czechia.
This has been a regular fixture in the 21st century, with England winning seven of their 12 meetings with Croatia (W7-D2-L3).
That includes each of the last three clashes, including an entertaining 4-2 success in the group stages of the World Cup in North America over the summer.
