Internazionale and Feyenoord have met on three previous occasions in Europe

Inter are looking to ease into the Champions League quarter-finals when they take on Feyenoord on Tuesday night.
The Nerazzurri produced a professional performance in a hostile environment against a depleted opponent in the first leg, and their 2-0 win away from home means they took a big step towards the last eight. Goals from Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram on either side of half-time have handed Simone Inzaghi’s side plenty of breathing room heading into the second leg.
However, the Scudetto holders continue to manifest frailties domestically. On Saturday, Inter fell two goals behind to bottom-of-the-table Monza but rallied to claim an imperative 3-2 victory which ensured they remained at the top of the Serie A table. Their victory was matched by impressive triumphs for Napoli over Fiorentina and Atalanta at Juventus on Sunday.
Feyenoord had the weekend off after Wednesday’s defeat, and are visiting Milan’s iconic amphitheatre for the second time in the space of a few weeks. The Eredivisie outfit had a lead to cling onto when they last visited San Siro, earning a 1-1 draw against the Rossoneri which was enough for them to advance into the last 16.
Inter confirmed on Monday that midfielder Piotr Zielinski will miss the next six weeks due to an ankle injury, and Inzaghi is still without several wing-backs for Feyenoord’s visit.
Carlos Augusto could be used down the left flank on Tuesday with Inter missing the likes of Matteo Darmian, Federico Dimarco, and Nicola Zalewski.
Yann Sommer is back in contention after a fairly brief absence, but Josep Martinez could retain his place between the sticks on Tuesday.
Inter predicted lineup vs Feyenoord (3-5-2): Martinez; Bisseck, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Augusto; Lautaro, Thuram.
Feyenoord will benefit from having the weekend off ahead of the second leg, but Robin van Persie won’t be able to welcome back many of his injured stars on Tuesday.
As was the case last week, the visitors could be missing up to ten senior players against Inter. Feyenoord’s absences include captain Quinten Timber and number one goalkeeper Justin Biljow. Hwang In-beom, Bart Nieuwkoop, Gernot Trauner, Calvin Stengs are also unavailable.
Ibrahim Osman is suspended due to yellow card accumulation, but Van Persie can call upon Givairo Read after he was banned for the first leg.
Feyenoord predicted lineup vs Inter (4-3-3): Wellenreuther; Read, Beelen, Hancko, Bueno; Moder, Paixao, Smal; Hadj Moussa, Carranza, Ivanusec.
