Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann headline Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid’s combined starting lineup for the UCL

Real Madrid are all set to host Atletico Madrid on matchday 23 of the LaLiga 2024-25 season. It is going to be another epic clash between the two.
Los Blancos are at the top of the table and Atletico Madrid sits beneath them. There is the difference of a single point only. And a win for either of them is going to help them further.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men are coming in after securing a narrow 3-2 win over Leganes in the Copa del Rey quarter-final. Real Madrid at home will be confident.
They played with a slightly different lineup against Leganes and still won the match. They have struggled in their defence but with some changes in the lineup, Los Blancos will be ready to take on Atletico.
Diego Simeone’s men are placed second in the Spanish League standings. Atletico Madrid dominated Getafe and secured an easy win over them. This will help them gain some confidence when they face Real Madrid in the LaLiga next. Atletico are doing well in the league and a win here will take them to the top spot.
Kylian Mbappe (Real Madrid)
The Frenchman was not part of Real Madrid’s squad against Leganes in the Copa del Rey quarter-final. Los Blancos went with their secondary attacker as Kylian Mbappe was rested. Mbappe does know how to find spaces between the opponent’s defence and he is going to play a key role for the hosts against Atletico Madrid. He will have to step up for his side and score a goal or two which can lead Real Madrid to a win.
Julian Alvarez (Atletico Madrid)
Julian Alvarez has played a crucial part in Atletico Madrid’s attack. He has also scored for them whenever they needed the most. The Argentine forward can create some problems for Real Madrid’s defence here. Away from it is going to be a difficult match for Diego Simeone’s men but with Alvarez’s goal-scoring capabilities, Atleti will have a massive chance to get through them.
Los Blancos have lost two of their last five derbies against Atletico Madrid in all competitions. Los Blancos have not won any of their last four LaLiga matches against Diego Simeone’s men. Atletico Madrid have collected points in eight of their last 11 LaLiga away games against Real Madrid.
The hosts Los Blancos will be without the services of Daniel Carvajal, Antonio Rudiger, Eder Militao and David Alaba for the upcoming Madrid derby.
Atletico Madrid will be ready with all of their players ready to be in action.
