The 2026 Formula 1 Drivers’ Champion has been decided, but there’s still more racing to go. The Brazilian Grand Prix will take place in São Paulo on Sunday.
History was made in Mexico City last weekend as Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli became the youngest-ever champion in the sport. The 20-year-old finished third in the Mexican Grand Prix, claiming the title by a dominant 119 points.
Though first place has already been decided, there’s still an ongoing battle for second. With an important victory at the Mexican GP, Max Verstappen is now second in the standings with 261 points. Lewis Hamilton is right behind with 259, and George Russell follows with 250.
The 2026 Brazilian Grand Prix will take place at Autódromo José Carlos Pace in São Paulo on Sunday, Nov. 8 and will begin at 2 p.m. local time.
