The champions are currently scoring only 1.69 goals per game, conceding 1.34

The Anfield giants surprised everyone by winning the Premier League after Klopp’s departure, and did so convincingly. However, Slot’s next year in England was a disappointment, especially considering the squad was strengthened last summer. The team started with a loss in the Super Cup to modest Crystal Palace and then exited the Champions League at the quarter-final stage to PSG, losing both legs. In the Premier League, the defending champions spent much of the season outside the top four! There was a recent run of three victories, but they lost to their old rivals, Manchester United.

The London giants appointed Maresca as head coach before last season, and finally showed good results under him, finishing in the Premier League’s top four and winning the Conference League. In the summer, Enzo also led the team to win the Club World Cup, but was still sacked at New Year. His replacement, Rosenior, lost in the League Cup semi-final, but initially delivered decent results. Everything fell apart in the spring: they were convincingly knocked out of the Champions League by PSG, and suffered five defeats in six Premier League matches. In the cup, they faced Leeds without Liam, but managed to win 1-0, just enough to reach the final. However, they then lost to Nottingham Forest as well.

The champions are currently scoring only 1.69 goals per game, conceding 1.34. The capital club scores 1.54 goals per match on average, while conceding 1.37.
