Spurs are in a good position to reach their first European final since 2019

Bodo/Glimt and Tottenham are getting ready for the second leg of their Europa League semi-final tie at Aspmyra Stadion on Thursday evening.

After a 3-1 win in London, Spurs are in a good position to reach their first European final since 2019 when they lost to Liverpool in their first-ever Champions League final.

Considering the simple fact that Tottenham are 16th in the Premier League standings, winning the Europa League is their only way to secure European football for next season, so all of their focus is on this game.

Meanwhile, Bodo/Glimt have already exceeded all expectations by reaching the semi-final and while they are two goals down heading into the second leg, they’ve proven this season that they shouldn’t be underestimated.

This is not only the best result in Europe for the club from a tiny Arctic town, but also the furthest stage that any Norwegian club has reached in any European competition.

For Spurs, the biggest question is whether Son Heung-min will be able to play since he’s still dealing with a nagging foot injury. Meanwhile, James Maddison, who score in the first leg before being forced off with a knee injury, will miss the rest of the season. Radu Dragusin and Lucas Bergvall are also out for Tottenham.

The hosts will have three of their players back after they served a suspension in the first leg (Hakon Evjen, Patrick Berg, and Andreas Helmersen), but Daniel Bassi will miss the match with an injury.

Bodo/Glimt: Haikin, Sjovold, Nielsen, Gundersen, Bjork, Evjen, Berg, Saltnes, Maatta, Blomberg, Hogh.

Tottenham: Vicario, Porro, Van de Ven, Romero, Udogie, Sarr, Bentancur, Kulusevski, Johnson, Tel, Solanke.
