Liverpool have won 14 of their 17 League home games this season

Newly-crowned Premier League champions Liverpool will welcome Arsenal to Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

However, the Reds were possibly suffering from a title winning hangover when losing 3-1 away at Chelsea last Sunday.

Back at their Merseyside base this weekend, Liverpool will be keen to put on a show for their fans when second-placed Arsenal come to town.

The Gunners crashed out of the Champions League at PSG on Wednesday night, meaning that they will end the season without a trophy.

Finishing as runner-up in the Premier League is by no means guaranteed either, with Mikel Arteta’s men triumphing in just one of their last five top-flight.

Liverpool have avoided defeat in each of their last 14 home matches against Arsenal across all competitions, though each of the last two Premier League meetings at Anfield have seen the points shared.

That was also the case in this season’s reverse fixture, which ended 2-2.

Liverpool will be without injured defender Joe Gomez, but apart from that they could have a clean bill of health.

Arsenal boss Arteta will again be unable to call upon the services of Gabriel, Jorginho, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus and Takehiro Tomiyasu.
