Kosovo faces Armenia today in a friendly match

Kosovo faces Armenia today (June 6) in a friendly match.
The Dardanians play this match before the qualifying matches for the World Championship.
“The new players have integrated very quickly into the team’s game. We have observed them before inviting them. They have shown good performance and have proven it in past training sessions,” he said, leaving open the possibility that some of them will debut in the first friendly.
Two days later, Kosovo faces Comoros to conclude this phase of friendly matches.
Both of these matches are played at the “Fadil Vokrri” stadium, while today’s match against Armenia starts at 19:00.
Coming into this game, Kosovo will be very confident of securing a victory. A run of six successive wins has seen the team earn promotion in the Nations League from Group C into Group B.
That accolade came after two excellent wins over Iceland in the Nations League promotion playoff. The Kosovans were 2-1 winners at home in the first leg and then secured a 3-1 away win in Reykjavik, for a 5-2 aggregate victory back in March 2025.
In contrast, it has been far more of a struggle for Armenia. Their sole win in the last seven games came in a 2-1 win over Latvia and in their Nations League Group B promotion playoff, they were thrashed 9-1 on aggregate by Georgia. Losing the first leg 3-0 at home in Yerevan and then the second leg 6-1 in Tblisi.
