Lazio have lost just one of their last nine matches

The San Siro giants had a disappointing last season. Paulo Fonseca, who arrived the previous summer, barely made it to winter. His replacement, Sérgio Conceição, started off with a Super Cup victory, overcoming Juventus and Inter. However, he then went on to disappoint across competitions, ultimately losing the cup final.

After that, Allegri returned to the project. By mid-autumn, he had lifted his new-old squad to first place. Yet, Massimiliano started with a 1-2 against Cremonese, and there were many draws in October and November. However, in the last round, they managed to win the derby against Inter.

In the capital, they collected 65 points—matching Fiorentina but losing sixth place and, with it, the right to play in European competitions. To return to their usual level, Sarri was brought back as coach in the summer. He started with three defeats in four matches but only lost once more—to Inter in November. Lecce were also beaten 2-0 in the previous round.

Allegri’s men score an average of 1.5 goals per match, and Maignan remains reliably solid—conceding just 0.75 per game. The ambitious team from Rome plays more pragmatic football: 1.25 goals scored and 0.75 conceded per match.
