Roma have won six of their last eight matches

The Sardinian club, after returning from Serie B, is focused on just one thing: avoiding relegation once again. Their performances can hardly be called successful, with an average of less than a point per round (it was 36 in the spring). However, luck has been on their side, which has been enough to stay in the top division—they finished fifteenth last season. Nothing has changed so far: only a few wins and many losses, especially recently, including to Juventus. In the cup, after a 1-1 draw with Napoli, they lost in a long penalty shootout, 8-9.

The team from Rome had long been aiming to return to the Champions League. Last spring, Ranieri was just 1-2 points short, but he took over the team after the disappointing stints of his predecessors, particularly Juric. Now, under Gasperini, they are once again playing in the Europa League, where their results have been inconsistent. However, they did beat Midtjylland in the last round. In Serie A, they are contending for the top spot, though they lost 0-1 to Napoli.

Pisacane’s side is averaging a goal per game scored and 1.46 conceded. The capital club, under Gasperini, plays in a very pragmatic style: 1.15 goals scored and 0.54 conceded per match.

Cagliari have drawn three of their last four matches

Roma have won six of their last eight matches
