Napoli have defeated their northern rivals four times in the last six meetings, losing only once.

After a disappointing previous season, Napoli brought in Conte as head coach. He immediately won the title race against his former club Inter. However, the new campaign has presented plenty of challenges, especially in the Champions League. Nevertheless, they managed to beat Qarabag 2-0. In Serie A, there was an important but narrow victory over Roma. The cup tie with Cagliari proved tougher, requiring penalties after a 1-1 draw to secure progression.

In Turin, after Allegri’s dismissal, two coaches have departed within just over a year. Tudor replaced the unsuccessful Thiago Motta and managed to secure fourth place in Serie A that spring. However, he too struggled soon after. Spalletti, following a debut 2-1 win over Cremonese, then drew several matches in a row. Victories followed eventually — in the Champions League against Bodo/Glimt, and in Serie A and the cup against Cagliari and Udinese, respectively.

McTominay and his teammates average 1.54 goals scored per game while conceding just 0.85. Their opponents are less prolific in attack, but maintain a positive ratio — 1.31 scored to 0.92 conceded.
