Como has lost only once this season

Last season, the Roman team narrowly lost the battle with Juventus for fourth place by just one point (and with it, missed out on a Champions League spot). However, it is worth remembering that Ranieri did a solid job, especially considering that in the autumn of 2024, both De Rossi and Juric were successively dismissed. As previously announced, Gasperini took over in the summer.

Things are not going perfectly in the Europa League, but nothing threatens Roma’s playoff qualification, especially after a 3-0 win away at Celtic. In Serie A, however, the team has improved and become a title contender. That said, they still lost to Napoli, and then failed to pick up any points even against Cagliari.

The visitors, for their part, finally earned promotion to the country’s top division in 2024. They finished the season with 49 points, closing out the top 10. Como continues to improve in the new campaign, losing only to Bologna and splitting their wins and draws almost evenly. In the last round, however, they suffered a heavy 0-4 defeat to Inter.

The capital club currently plays pragmatically: averaging 1.07 goals scored per match and conceding 0.57. Cesc’s men show a similar trend: they score an average of 1.46 goals and concede 0.56 per game.
