The London club finally claimed a trophy six months ago, winning the Europa League. However, they finished only seventeenth in the EPL with 38 points. Under their current manager, Franck, the results have been inconsistent. In the Champions League, they started with a couple of wins and a couple of draws, but then lost to PSG—as well as, on penalties, in the UEFA Super Cup this summer. They managed a 3-0 win over Slavia.
In the League Cup, they were knocked out after a 0-2 defeat to Newcastle. And in the EPL, they have been winning less than half of their matches, especially since mid-autumn. They even lost 0-3 to Nottingham Forest.
Last summer, Klopp was replaced by Slot, who immediately won the EPL title. However, the English side exited the Champions League fairly early, and lost the League Cup final. But in the new season, after a relatively decent start (although they already lost the Super Cup on penalties to Crystal Palace), things quickly deteriorated.
Newcomers, except for Ekitike, have not impressed, while Salah has fallen out with both management and the coach. Against Inter in the Champions League, they won without him, albeit not without controversy! Afterwards, against Brighton at home, they even managed to score a couple of unanswered goals.
