Inter will be looking to extend their lead at the top despite being away from home

It is the Cristian Chivu derby as the Romania international takes his Internazionale side back to the Ennio Tardini to face Parma, whom he departed in the summer.

Last season, Parma managed to steer themselves clear of the bottom three and the relegation places with Cristian Chivu at the helm but his departure for Internazionale saw Mikel Arteta’s former assistant coach Carlos Cuesta replace him in Parma.

The hosts started the season slowly but they have been much-improved of late as they head into this one on the back of a 1-1 draw with Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium at the Reggio Emilia, with Mateo Pellegrino equalising mid-way through the first-half.

Internazionale begin their 18th match day of the 2025/26 Serie A season sitting a point clear of Derby della Madonnina rivals at the top-of-the-table, with Cristian Chivu finding his feet at San Siro as the season has gone on throughout the campaign.

The Nerazzurri eased to an impressive 3-1 defeat of Bologna at San Siro at the weekend with goals from Piotr Zielinski, Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram, extending their winning streak in Serie A to five matches since a derby day loss to Milan.

Adrian Benedyczak had worked his way back to full fitness for this one but he is now a doubt once again, while Zion Suzuki, Abdoulaye Ndiaye and Matija Frigan are confirmed absentees.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Corvi; Del Prato, Circati, Valenti; Oristanio, Keita, Adrian Bernabe, Sorensen, Valeri; Ondrejka, Mateo Pellegrino.

Inter are dealing with plenty of key injury issues for this one, such as defensive duo Matteo Darmian and Denzel Dumfries, as well as key striker Ange-Yoan Bonny.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Sommer; Bisseck, Akanji, Bastoni; Luiz Henrique, Barella, Calhanoglu, Zielinski, Dimarco; Lautaro Martinez, Thuram.
