On average, Manchester United score 1.71 goals and concede 1.52 goals per match

The Old Trafford giants tried to save last season after dropping to the lower part of the Premier League table and in the Europa League—but in the tournament final, it was another crisis-hit English side, Tottenham, who prevailed. Now, while slip-ups still occur, United have managed to climb back among the contenders for European spots. Amorim was eventually dismissed… and it all ended in a draw with Burnley.

In his first season in England, Hürzeler lifted his side to eighth place, but due to Crystal Palace’s cup triumph, Brighton still missed out on even a Conference League berth. The team is now aiming to improve further, but inconsistency and streaks of poor results have been an obstacle. Nevertheless, they beat Burnley and managed a draw with Manchester City.

United’s most notable and historic misstep this season was in the League Cup match against Grimsby. They barely drew level with a fourth-tier team in regulation time, only to be eliminated on penalties. Welbeck and company managed to beat Oxford and Barnsley but lost 0-2 to Arsenal in October.
