Paris have won one of their last six matches

The main local powerhouse was incredibly successful last year, even by its own high standards. Not only did PSG win its usual “domestic” trophies, but also added the long-awaited Champions League, as well as the UEFA Super Cup and the Intercontinental Cup. Only at the Club World Cup in the summer did they stumble, losing the final to Chelsea. Domestically, motivation seems to be lacking, as they finished 2025 one point behind Lens. They maintained the status quo in January by beating Paris 2-1 in the derby. The Super Cup against Marseille was also won—again, only after a penalty shootout!

The other team from the capital finally left Ligue 2 in the spring. Of course, competing at a higher level has been tough—they lose about half of their matches. However, the newcomer does not look hopeless. They finished the last calendar year with four wins and sixteen points. As expected, they lost to PSG, but respectably, 1-2.

In the Cup, Luis Enrique’s team managed to thrash Fontenay 4-0 in December. The visitors ended last year with a 3-0 rout of Raon.
