Borussia Dortmund have won two of their last five matches

The club from Signal Iduna Park came close to failure last season, but the arrival of Niko Kovač as head coach helped them secure fourth place. As a result, the team started in the Champions League again, where they recorded three wins and eleven points. In the cup, however, they lost to Bayer. But in the Bundesliga, they were in second place before the break. In January, they played a thrilling but only drawn match against Eintracht, 3-3.

In Bremen, for the 2024/2025 season, the team was finally fighting not for survival, but for European competition. They just missed out: with 51 points they finished eighth. After that, Werner left and they failed to find a proper replacement. The team dropped out of the cup early in the summer, losing to Arminia, and suffered many defeats in the Bundesliga, including in winter. In January, the match against Hoffenheim was postponed due to weather conditions.

Guirassy and company have an average of 1.81 goals scored per game but concede 0.94 per match. Steffen’s squad manages to score 1.2 goals while conceding one and a half times more – 1.87 per game.
