Bayern have failed to win in this tournament only three times

The Munich giants, after a trophyless season the year before last, confidently reclaimed the “Silver Plate.” This season, they have failed to win in just a handful of matches across all competitions. They even scored eight goals against Wolfsburg! In the Champions League against Union, they secured a 2-0 win even when playing with a man down.

The visitors and neighbors finished twelfth with 43 points last season. This year, things are tougher: they ended the previous calendar year with fourteen points from fifteen matches—half of those coming in the last five rounds. After the break, they lost to Mönchengladbach, and it was a heavy 0-4 defeat. But they did manage draws with Union and Freiburg.

The champions have excellent stats: 3.94 goals scored and 0.78 conceded per game. Wolf and company still have a clearly negative ratio: 1.11 goals for versus 1.94 against.
