Manchester United have won only two of their last nine matches

The capital’s giant, after another second-place finish in the EPL, made a series of signings in the summer. And now the team looks very strong! In the Champions League, they have only enjoyed victories. This week, they also beat Inter there.

In the cup, they easily won against Portsmouth with their reserves.
Immediately after that, there was the first League Cup semifinal against Chelsea—and again, a win, albeit 3-2. But most importantly, they have managed to keep a confident lead in the EPL, though there have been some missteps. In the most recent rounds, both against Liverpool and Nottingham Forest, they played out goalless draws.

During last season, Man United appointed Rúben Amorim—but under his leadership, the club dropped to 15th place in the EPL, prioritizing the Europa League, but even there lost in the final. Even after losing to Grimsby in the League Cup and faltering in the league at the start of autumn, the Portuguese manager was not dismissed.

After that, there was indeed an upturn, and he even managed to win the Manager of the Month award. But the team couldn’t maintain that level, and in January, he was let go. But even after that, there was only a draw against Burnley. In the cup against Brighton, they actually lost. But a week ago, in the derby against City, Carrick made his debut—and finished with a 2-0 victory!

The Premier League leader boasts corresponding statistics: 1.82 goals scored per game and 0.64 conceded. The visitors from Manchester score 1.73 goals per match on average, conceding 1.45.

Arsenal finished each of their last two rounds with goalless draws
45% of Arsenal’s matches end with both teams scoring and the average total goals per game is 2.45
Manchester United have won only two of their last nine matches
73% of Manchester United’s matches end with both teams scoring and the average total goals per match is 3.18.

Manchester United (probable line-up): Lammens – Shaw, Martínez, Heven, Diogo Dalot – Casemiro, Ugarte, Dorgu, Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha – Šeško.
