Myles Lewis-Skelly overtakes Marcus Rashford to become the youngest player in history to score on his senior England debut

90+1 mins: Gordon down and looks in a bit of pain. Holding his stomach. He’ll continue.
90 mins: Five minutes to be added on as Lewis-Skelly makes way to a standing ovation.
82 mins: Strakosha has put himself in harm’s way a few times tonight and the Albania goalkeeper is making way. Elhan Kastrati between the posts for the visitors. Henderson replaces Rice for England.
78 mins: Double change for Albania with their race pretty much run. Hoxha and Pajaziti on for Asani and Laci.
77 mins: GGGGOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLL!!!!! Harry Kane!!!!!
74 mins: Now panic in the Albania box as Strakosha comes flying out for a header, Kane gets there first. The visitors get away with a corner. Bowen and Rashford finally get out there in place of Foden and Rashford. Rogers also on for Jones, who had a really tidy night.
72 mins: Broja winning headers above Burn now too. Nurse! Asani is in and in comes Konsa with a fantastic last-ditch tackle.
69 mins: Broja gets the better of Burn again. Problems for England. The final ball is read expertly by Walker.
67 mins: Anthony Gordon and Jarrod Bowen are coming on for England. You’d imagine straight swaps for Rashford and Foden.
66 mins: Broja swiftly into his work as he outpaces Burn to get into the box. Nothing comes of it but an encouraging sign for the visitors.
63 mins: Bit of a dice roll from Sylvinho, who sends on Broja in place of Bajrami.
61 mins: Kane comes deep and lofts a gorgeous pass int the box for Jones. His cutback can’t reach Foden, who takes a whack on the back looking to get on the end of it.
59 mins: Kane glances just wide! England shift forward down the left through Rashford. Bellingham picks up the pieces and dinks across towards this skipper, who almost doubles the lead.
57 mins: Sloppy giveaway in midfield from Rice. England haven’t really got going after the break.
52 mins: Rice’s free-kick just over Konsa. Bajrami gets around Burn with a lovely piece of skill but he’s still very deep and the chance to break is snuffed out.
49 mins: England have a chance to break through Foden, but the Manchester City man’s pass has too much on it for Kane.
48 mins: Asllani delivers a dangerous ball into the box from the right. Burn glances it clear.
Kickoff: 2nd Half
Myles Lewis-Skelly overtakes Marcus Rashford to become the youngest player (aged 18 years and 176 days) in history to score on his senior England debut.
It took him less than 20 minutes to mark his first senior game for his country with a goal, finishing well from close range.
34′ England 1-0 Albania
Bellingham has been at the heart of everything good for England.
He races into the penalty area from the left in a mazy run, faces down Strakosha from a tight angle, and tries to cheekily toe-poke it beyond the goalkeeper.
But Strakosha blocks his shot from close range! Kane tried to acrobatically jump and volley it in on the rebound but was harshly penalised by the referee.
32′ England 1-0 Albania
Asani went shoulder to shoulder with Jude Bellingham in midfield, I thought it was a fair challenge, but after thinking about it and seeing Bellingham on the floor, the Spanish referee gave the foul.
Albania were understandably annoyed, with captain Berat Djimsiti receiving what seems a pretty harsh booking for protesting.
31′ England 1-0 Albania
Half an hour in and England have barely been tested, other than that awkward Burn-Pickford moment, and lead.
Decent start to the Tuchel era.
28′ England 1-0 Albania
A defensive mix-up from England.
Albania crossed it in low from the right via Qazim Laci, Burn slid in towards his own goal to block and the ball shot up into the air and towards the corner.
Jordan Pickford, not entirely convincing or authoritative, watched it hit the angle of post and bar. The ball then fell back in play, underneath the crossbar… and with Pickford flapping after it Burn stepped in and put it out for a corner.
Not pretty, but England just about did the job. Kane stooped in on the second phase to nod away a dangerous cross but the flag is up for offside.
26′ England 1-0 Albania
England have enjoyed not far off 90 per cent possession so far, so haven’t had to do too much without the ball.
But just then, they did. The ref played advantage after a clumsy Bellingham challenge, passed out to the right, where Albania broke forward with pace.
Rashford, not always known for his fantastic work rate, sprinted back at some lick to challenge, before Kane won it with a fine challenge, evaded a tackle with some clever footwork and feinting, then passed it back to keep the ball.
Good work all round.
22′ England 1-0 Albania
Only the second senior goal of his career, club or country, and Myles Lewis-Skelly has the world at his feet at just 18.
It was made by Jude Bellingham, who had the ball in midfield, was under pressure but pivoted 360 degrees and burst beyond his marker with a burst of pace.
He was looking for an option, and found it with Lewis-Skelly’s arced run beyond opposite man Asani.
Lovely slide-rule pass, Asani the wrong side, the 18-year-old just nudged him out of the way with his shoulder, giving himself some room, and faced up the goalkeeper.
No messing around, just slid it under Strakosha’s legs, first time. Cool finish. Like he was in the park with his mates! I bet his family are so proud.
20′ England 1-0 Albania
First cap, first goal! Myles Lewis-Skelly with it!
The Arsenal youngster slides it under Strakosha and England have the first goal of Thomas Tuchel’s tenure.
16′ England 0-0 Albania
…as Marcus Rashford pinged it superbly crossfield, brilliant technique, from left winger to right winger.
Brought under Foden’s spell, but his cross was nodded away by Ajeti before Kane could latch onto it.
13′ England 0-0 Albania
The noise finally swells at Wembley as Harry Kane drops deep and swings it into the box towards Marcus Rashford, who scurries after it and gets there before the defender before turning and retaining possession.
England recycle, away from danger, but come again and some lovely feet from Curtis Jones inside the box sees him jink past Asllani before pushing it inside, but it’s cleared.
He slaps his hand to his forehead lightly in frustration.
10′ England 0-0 Albania
Ten minutes in already, not much happening, and I’m yet to be fully convinced by Dan Burn’s suitability for the international level.
Sure, he’s been fine for Newcastle this season, but he’ll be 34 by the time of the 2026 World Cup and I’m not sure being a good character off the pitch warrants a start on it.
He has been untroubled in his battles with the Albania forwards, but there was a misplaced header and some hesitation on the ball.
Lewis-Skelly then does well to win a free kick under heavy pressure from winger Asani.
