The X social networking platform, formerly known as Twitter, suffered global interruptions for just over an hour on Thursday.
According to Downetector.com, which tracks interruptions by listing status reports, more than 47,000 American users faced access problems at X and X Pro.
Some users in the UK and Asia were also unable to view page posts.
X, which is owned by Elon Musk, has been asked for comments. Musk bought Twitter for $ 44 billion last year.
Hashtag #TwitterDown started in trend within minutes after the release of reports on interruptions.
But the interruption was short-lived and users were able to re-enter the platform after just over an hour.
